Good for you Bruce.

I've run into a lot of negative pressure around here, but I keep a calm attitude and explain to people that this is what I grew up with. I hunt to put food on our table and I would rather have it come from a natural source as opposed to farm raised animals. My wife even backs me stating how it is totally "organic". A big positive with folks around here. Most of the people I meet who are aginst hunting are really against people who hunt simply for the thrill and leave the animal to waste. Sadly, without education, like your article, most people will never see our side.

I'm a firm beleiver in harvesting your own food. I'm 31 years old and I've never had a prescription for anything! I'm sure it has a lot to do with my wild diet and love of the outdoors. Maybe a little luck too  .

Great article Bruce, good exposure to the sport, and should help to dispell some of the myths out there. Carleton Place/Lanark is running wild with deer! Good for people to know they're better in the freezer than in front of a vehicle or dead in a ditch. Good PR work!

Cheers.

Awesome stuff!!! That is exactly what we need, the truth being shown to the general and often uneducated(re:hunting) public. CONGRATS!!!!
