Broadheads-Broadheads-Broadheads

Post by Tommy-SKIL-Figure »

Just purchased my Exocet 200 (as some may already know) and was wondering what some experienced peoples opinions are on the best hunting broadheads for deer.

I've heard of a few brand names like Thunderheads, Muzzys and Wasp...are there any others on the market that I should look at....Im a rifle hunter so I know that shot placement is what it comes down to but I want a broadhead that will do the job and do it well!!

Any recomendations??

You can go with Slick Tricks, Montec G5's, Muzzy's, all these fly nicely out of a crossbow. I've hear the Sonic heads do a good job too.

There will be others on here that will be able to help you on this subject as well.

Wasp Hammer SST, because they have a little cutting diameter than the Boss. Both are deadly accurate.

Oops, I meant they have a little LARGER cutting diameter.

Never had a problem with the Wasp SST's. They leave an amazing blood trail and fly like a dart.

I think the montec g5,s are the most accurate toughest broadhead ive ever used, indestructable. I shoot them out of my exomag and have killed alot !@#$ with them. I shoot the 140 grns out my bow and it loves them.

All of my Deer and small Animal Bolts are 100 gr. When I Bear hunt I usually switch to 125 gr. and resite accordingly, I would do the same for Moose.

wasps work well for me. tried the montec's and they killed fine but needed much sharpening right out of the box.

I have been using the 4 bladed 125 grain Magnus Stinger for the last 3 years and I really like them. They are tough and they shoot just like my fieild points. :D
