Exomax Calculation Sheet
http://sciacalli.altervista.org/excalib ... sheet.html
I don't know if my excel calculation sheet could be useful, but I want to share it with Excalibur forum community. I done this with my chronograph; you can change some arrows parameters to see energy, drop and trajectory. If you know only arrow weight, with a specific Energy/weight table you can find energy; with energy you can find speed, using first table, changing speed until energy found.
Whit my and my bowhunters friends experience I make 4 sheets of arrow penetration.
The last sheets have been designed for remember shooting results.

It took some time with my slide rule to conferm your datta , your figures are almost perfect, the only variables not taken into consideration were windage and alertness of the target. An aware deer looking at you has a r/t (reaction time).166 greater than an unaware animal. In your figures, your testing reacation times are off by quite a bit , unless you are shooting 3-D targets that are unaware and up wind from you.
Look into some state F&G statistics on animal behaveour and saftey reaction times. One animal I wouldnt want to go up against would be a female cougar with a cub in close distances under 30 yards. they make a deer seam like a slug !! you wont even have time to say sh$t!! I still say 35 yards max at any alert animal , the math backs it up GREYWOLF

For my experience I found a very good hunting arrow a 2219 20" equipped with 115 grains muzzy 4 blades, 3 feather 5" 1/16" right. Energy it's near 103 FTP, speed is 316 fps, cut is devasting (I never seen in 20 years a hole so devasting like with muzzy 4 blades), fly is very very accurate (3" at 45 yards). Trajectory is so flat and default sight (I don't use scope) are perfectly tuned for: until 25m, 40m and 50m.
