Home at last!

Post by grizzled47 »

Hi everyone!
Well, we are home again at last. We thought we would be home on monday, but the surgeon wanted another MRI scan to make sure that everything was clear. It showed that the tumour was completely removed, and the surgeon says it is very unlikely to return. He wants to do scans for a couple of years just to be sure. Anyway, he gave us the all clear to come home today, so thet was great!
We are both very tired, and Mary can't do much at all for 2 months. She is already benefiting from the surgery, but has some numbness in one leg which the surgeon thinks is the result of having to move some delicate nerve's around to get to the tumour. He says it will probably improve in a month or so.
Anyway, I won't bore you any more, but I wanted to let you all know that we are fine, and glad that it is behind us now. Mary is a tough lady, and will soon be up and about. I have a lot of nursing to do for awhile, but I don't mind at all. We are a team, and she would care for me just the same....as it should be!
Thanks again to you all for your prayers and good wishes. I will be in touch again soon. Mary sends her thanks for all your concerns, and appreciates it greatly.
Speak to you all soon'
Take care,
Grizzled.
If at first you don't succeed...try again!!

It's good to hear she is doing well, and the two of you can relax now in your own home.
Keep us posted on her progress.

Welcome home Mary and Grizzled!! Boy, I bet that feels good.

Nothing like getting out of that danged hospital and settling into your own digs. With a clean bill of health too. Give Mary a gentle hug for us.

Thanks for keeping in touch.

What's she going to be doing to occupy her time while recovering? I could send you a list of some good books.
