I'm hoping you all can help me with some turkey education. . .
This is my first season in the turkey woods and have enjoyed every minute of it.
My concern is that I haven't heard a gobble since last Thursday when a trespasser shot a bird I was working and then disappeared.
I have heard hens yelping quite a bit but no gobblers seen or heard.
Is it the weather? It turned cold again. Or that its late in the season.
If the thrill of the hunt is lost, then I have lost.

gobbleing has slowed down in my area... the best way to hunt them now is to pattern them like a deer ... find out where they go and cut them off... good luck ... i have a buddie watching one for me for friday...
