Got me a Gator hunt booked!!!

Post by big dog »

Booked me a Gator hunt for the end of August and beginning of September with Capt.Troy off of the trading post on this forum,he really seems to be a great guy-oh yeah it is in Florida, can't wait-also get to take my fiancee in the boat while we hunt, this should really be exciting-get to shoot 2 gators-1 trophy-10-13 ft and 1 meat gator 6-9ft,and of course get to shoot them with an excal exomax-he supplies all the equiptment,liscense's,tag's,ect-hope to come back with all limbs intact-will take plenty of pic's and maybe some video-will keep ya posted,

p.s. drawing for muzzleloader from Ray's raffle will be in a couple of weeks-still some chance's left

Sounds like alot of fun. They are allowing gator hunts in AL this year as well but its a little more restrictive than FLA's as I understand it.

good call on going to FL, as I hear gator hunting in IL is pretty uneventful. 8)

This may sound kinda dumb, but being a Canadian ;I know little about Gators. Can some one here tell me what gator meat tastes like. I know the 1st response is going to be chicken  .

I have eaten snapping turtle before are they similar?

Be sure to post some pictures Big Dog, when you get back. Interested in seeing what its like hunting them babies.

I'm a little curious and alot nosey, but what does it cost to hunt Gators? Is it also open to out of country residents?
