Deer season is here

Post by Maritimer »

Well I am looking forward to the weekend for it is the opening of deer season. The bow is ready and so is my 12 year old son. He has been hunting with me for years, but this will be his first year that he is going to try and harvest a deer himself. He has been practicing all summer with the Phoenix and he is ready. I don't know who is more excited him or I. This should be a great hunting season for now I will be hunting with some great hunting partners my wife and son. :D :D

This weekend? Man you're lucky. Let us know how you do. I think your season ends earlier then ours doesn't it?

That settles it I'm moving. I wish you both the best hunting you can possibly have and make some wonderful lasting memories together. Oh and please remember to share them with those of us who have to wait until Oct. 1st.

I am not sure when your deer season ends Partikle but deer season ends here on the 12th of December. :D

Mine starts on October 1st and ends on December 31st. Some WMU in Ontario start later and end earlier then that.

KY bow deer/turkey season starts Sept. 2nd. The Department of Fish and Wildlife made a longer crossbow season (Oct. 1-22 & Nov. 11-Dec. 21) this year.

I am counting the days and trying my best to clean out the deep freeze  . If I get skunked this year I may regret firing up the BBQ 2-3 times a week  .

Gotta make room for fresh meat.
