broadhead for turkey?

Post by elkman »

i am thinking of trying to get a turkey this fall with my crossbow instead of my shotgun, i use 100 grain spitfires for my deer hunting, would this broadhead be a good/correct choice for turkey :?: using a broadhead for turkey is a totally new idea for me personally so any advice on this would be appreciated.....thanks

Use a good broadhead an d a Zwickey Grappler behind it to stop pass thrus and the turkey from flying off. I use a 100gr Slick trick with mine.

Sounds like we both have the same idea. I've been told it helps if you have something to slow or stop the shaft from passing thru the Turkey. I bought a set of Zwicky Grapplers that slip over my shafts, there suppose to do the trick. I ordered them from Archery Nook. I'm using them with 100 gr. Slick Tricks. Best of Luck to the both of us. Why not just switch to the gobbler getter, NAP. It would fly the same as your spitfires and have more of a target point to stop the pass through.
If the thrill of the hunt is lost, then I have lost.

Thanks Digger!! Is that size for the GT`s from the right stuff pack? Is that place from the US or Canada? I only ask because of shipping costs. Thanks-Jack.
