Alum bolts for Vixen

My wife wants to use alum bolts in her Vixen and the question is which size would you recommend: 2213 or 2216 and would you cut them to 18" or leave them at 20"? Thanks for any info.

Either will work fine, the 2213 is faster, the 2216 is a little more durable.
The 20" length will protrude into the stirrup which can be a safety factor if you ever let the string down by hand. Hard to get your foot in danger when an arrow is loaded. I usually unload by shooting an arrow into the ground, so I don't worry if I need to shorten arrows to 18" to "fine tune" weight.

I use an 18" shaft for my Vixens at 330 gr and 4" vanes. I have both alum and carbons of ths size. Speed of 290-295 fps

The 2213 shafts are 225-230 gr an I use 100 gr slick Tricks foc is about 16%. balance point is at 8" from the BH.

Digger, do those 18" 2213's work pretty good on small deer?

3 out of 3 pass thrus with 2213s and Slick Tricks on the front. All were 25 yards or less.
