string question?

Post by steve »

time for a new string on the exocet 175 lb. I think it has the fast flight ( black and grey) on it right now. Can I use the old dacron string like I used on my wolverine, or would I lose too much fps. Or would it give me the proper brace height? Thanks in advance.

I prefer dacron on my Phoenix. Yes, I loose a little speed, but it's much quieter and IMHO is less stressful to the limbs.

you will probably loose about 5-8fps atleast, I gained 12-15 with my FFF over my excel

How can you guys tell which one is which? I can only distinguish a FFF string which is two colors twisted together, gray and black.
How can you tell which one is made out of dacron?
The one I was using right now is an excel string which is black with a green serving. Is it dacron?

Thanks,

He he he… I am pretty sure they all will do the job just fine.
I would only like to know which one is which, or how I can tell the difference between different ones... too many options… :)

thanks Wabi, I guess to answer my own question , I should just take the string from my wolverine and put it on the exocet and see for myself. I just like the fact that it is not going to stretch like the ff string.
