Gun registry had a glitch...

Post by mblaney »

A friend of mine just told me that the gun registry has lost about 400,000 names. He is selling a gun and when he called the registry office they could not find him or his buyer in their database. They told him that it was ok to proceed with the transfer anyway.

Here is his email:

Ref: Gun
We called the office in New Brunswick.
The Girl asked me about my registration number, she said she could not find it, i gave her the date that both of the guns were registered, and she could not find anything on me.
I told her i was giving the gun away to my friend, she took all the infos and she said it was O.K. I will get the papers sometime this month.
Also and interesting thing, the guy who bought my gun, has 14 guns all registrated, he had the registration with him, gave her the number, and she could not find it.
She said they had a little problem a while ago.It should be fix anytime soon!?!

It sounds like a good start to me. Let's just lose the rest of the names in their database and call it a day and a job well done.

Hmmm, off to the registry site I go. I'll post my findings.

Exactly where are teh site should you see your firearms?

Are they listed, or just the qty?

Maybe it's their way of not having to reimburse us the registraion/licence fee.

$60 x 400,000= $24,000,000
