Scored This Morning

Post by bow hunter »

Took a nice 6 pt this morning. Hunted a new spot this morning. I got permission to hunt this spot last year but was only able to get there once. This morning I saw some place between 30 and 35 deer. Bucks, does and fawns. I didn't see any big boys, but I'm betting they are around. Looks like its going to be a pretty good spot. Sorry no pictures forgot the camera at home.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!
I was beginning to think all the deer had left my hunting area, but I did finally see a few last night. 3 does and a couple fawns, but I still have nothing to put in the freezer. :( Did have one doe and the fawns within easy range, but things just didn't work out for a good shot. Sometimes I think they know how to tease a hunter. A couple of times the doe offered a good shot angle at less than 20 yards, but the fawns seemed to be right at her side every time she turned broadside. Not sure I'd want to take her anyway, even thought the fawns were well developed and plenty big enough to survive without her. She'll probably push them away soon anyway.
