:) I harvested my first deer friday oct. 6 2006 at 6.00 pm with my exocet 200 crossbow. It is a 14 point buck and i arrowed him from a tree stand at 10 yards.I was hunting in the simcoe county forests of southern ontario,canada.

Pics would be nice to see if you have them. Not doubting your word, just like to see what I'm missing by not being out hunting this morning. :lol:

Congrataulations Tracer. At fourteen points he should be scored. You need to have some photographs taken and a registered scorer come out after 60 days. It you have some one near you who can rough score him it will give you an idea of where you stand in relations to getting into the Ontario RECORD BOOK. You need a minimum of 115 I think (I can never remember if is 115 or 125 has that is also a P &Y number). You may and to ask the forum members if any of them live close enough to you to do the initial score.

We would all love to hear the story in more detail please.

hello everyone and thanks for the congrats. pictures to follow soon . the buck scored 153.75 gross b&c and the net typical score was 148.25 ( ref. guide:aug. ont. out of doors mag. article - know the score ! ) the weight of the animal was estimated at 200 lbs. dressed x 1.25 = 250 lbs. live weight as no scale was available. more details to follow and thanks for your interest.

Heck of a deer for public land!! I've chased deer in some Springwater Simoce County Forests. Never saw anything that big, but did see sign to make me believe big deer lived there.
