Scope fogging up

Post by boreal boy »

What are people using to stop their scopes from fogging up? I found that by keeping the scope covers on until just before shooting would help but I don't want to be fumbling with scope covers when bullwinkle is on his way in.

Get some anti-fog for reading glasses at your local drug store.

When I was in the Brit army (in a pinch) we sometimes spit on the lenses and gave them a quick rub. It helped a bit but was not ideal.

Thanks for the response. I use to scuba dive and spitting on a lense will work for a bit. The tissue suggestion has merit as well. I was thinking about getting some Butler Creek pop up scope covers to keep the dew and frost from accumulating but I am consciencious about the noise they make when they are flipped up. Thanks for the suggestions
