Shaft Sizes?

Post by WRC »

This may be a dumb question, but what determine the shaft size that we can use in the Excaliburs. I know that the 22's are the recommended size, but what determines this. Is it the width of the slot and if so, could something like shims be put in the slot so that some of the new Slim Shafts could be used. I.E. Eastons AXIS shafts or the new Metal Jacketed Easton ACC's. Thanks

Roy,
I can't find the spec sheet on the Excal site, but I believe the minimum diameter is .300 inch. I'd stick with 21 or 22 series shafts - they have been working fine for Excal users for years, so why try to change?

Alumimum Shafts are measured in 64ths of an inch, the next two numbers are the wall thickness of the shaft. 21xx to 24xx are recommended.

Wabi and Digger, Thanks for the help. I just have free access to about 100 of each of the 2 types shafts i mentioned for free, just was looking for a good way to make use of them. There just far to expensive to let slip through my fingers. Thanks again
