If you want an excellent product that is quiet, guaranteed water proof, not water resistant, you can tie off the pantlegs on this stuff and use it to carry water, guaranteed unbreakable and will last forever, this is the way to go.

You might find these work OK, at least they work just fine here in Alaska. http://www.hellyhansengear.com/catalog/ ... cts_id=294 I just put my Leafywear over the top, and I feel like I'm ready for the Opera.

When i was a rookie hunter i listen to everyone who influenced me into buying a cheap pair of pants, bibs and jacket. I learned my lesson very quickly and then and still own a Browning Hydro Suede 4in 1 Gortex suit, complete with pants, jacket and seperate bibs. granted this cost i pretty penny i can say that weather is no objective i never get wet or cold for that matter. Spend the money once and you'll be far ahead in the end! GORTEX a must!
I just invested in a new pair of rain pants. Both breatheable and waterproof. $60. Goretex. Army Surplus. Excellent condition, made to military specs. Olive green, but to a deer, grey. Just like a tree.
Wore them all day today. And it rained all day!! Dry as one can be.

You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

Warm waterproof & 'silent' fleece
Check www.acadventures.ca... They have some excellent camo/silent/waterproof gear made in Canada. Fantastic stuff!
