Remember that Golden Rule clause!

I hope the rain eases off for all you hunters up there!

I don't mind the rain, so long as I can stay dry. I will be out there. When it clears the bucks will be touching up their scrapes. I will be out there for that as well.

That's okay Bob. I don't understand metric. I just know that in any language I's a pain in the whatsit.

I think that due to the amount of rain this weekend I'll give hunting a miss.

I got a deal on a utility trailer, square metal tube type, with 14 or 15 inch wheels for $250.00. Very good condition. I hope to pick it up tonight or tomorrow.

That way I'll be ready to bring my deer back next weekend.

Climbed in my pop-up blind this evening and had about 25mm of water in the center!
Looked at the feeder and most of the corn was under about 12mm of water.
Figured that was enough practicing metric conversion and came home!
Anyway, my 6 year old crossed a ditch with 18cm of water wearing 16cm high boots and he was complaining about wet feet.....

I hear ya! I have still been out hunting 7-8 times and got my first deer w/ a cross bow. But enough is enough already I think we have had 2 maybe 3 days all month that has been decent.

I worked as a machinist for many years for a valve company. I always wanted the company to convert to metric, but I was nearly a lone voice in the wilderness. When a British Co. bought us out in '94, we started making valves for the European market in metric sizes. I slid right into that job just because I had a grasp of metric. (Duh! A grasp of the obvious!) The guys I worked with (longtimers, yes) knew fractions with their decimal conversions backwards and forwards, but were afraid of metric.

Well finally no rain today! However there is very strong winds. I don't care, I'm going out anyway. This is cause for celebration! I will employ everything I got to get some Bucks to my stand today. I've got lot's of Game birds and Rabbit, but haven't had Deer meat since May! Man I miss that stuff!

Well I did get my utility trailer and it's solid built and has lots of ground clearance.

All I need to do a trial run is a deer. So if anyone would like a deer transported to my place give me a call.
