Post by wildwindom »

Well i got into my stand at 12:00 p.m. At 1:30 two humans came buy tree rat hunting got me very upset!! Then at 3:00 here comes 4 more older humans just takeing a stroll right thru my apples and my shooting lane i grunted at them and they jumped so high i almost fell out of my tree stand i was laughing so hard. They said sorry so i let it be. Well i could smell there perfume they must of had a gallon on each thought my day was done fer sure almost had my self talked into climbing down and calling it a day think god i didnt. Well at 5:00 i heard something to my right low and behold its a buck!! Hes comeing straight in nose to the ground the whole way. He started turning turning away from me thought he was going to leave but he got a wiff of my estrus i had out. He came straight in to it 15 yard shot in the spine dropped him in his tracks a very fine ten point 8 years of hunting and its finally paid off!!!!!

Congratulations and proof again that patience & persistence pay off. Nice deer too. What was the estrous lure you had set out? It overcame all the other foreign odors. Enjoy those backstraps my friend.
