Best Friends First Deer

Post by rigbymi »

I went out with my buddy from work yesterday who has never shot a deer in his life. He has hunted on and off since he was 14 and he is 51 now.
We had seen a few deer during the day with no shots. Then around 3pm
he had to get out of his ground blind to stretch his legs and he came by to see me at my stand. He said that he would walk around the top of the ridge and see if he could chase something to me. Well he starts up the hill and I see a buck coming across the top toward him. The next thing I hear is the sound of his crossbow going off and the deer comes rolling down the hill in front of me and expires. I was so happy for him and the smile on his face tells it all.

Awesome, congrats on his first buck.

My grand daughter got her first buck a week ago with the Exocet. It was a five pointer.
