I had the same Problem and so I spoke to a butcher who laughed at me and said Just open the Phone book . . . Look up Butcher Supplies and Services. I called and they did the best job of sharpening my knives @ $3.00 each, that I have ever had done. My Buck 110 gutted and skinned 8 deer and it is still very sharp. (Ya the guys I hunt with are afraid to get there hands dirty but they don't bitch too much when I fill their Tags Shot three this year). Try It You will keep going back every year.

I use a lansky knife sharpener. with preset guides for the angles and a coarse, medium and fine stone it is very easy to use. I find it works great for me. hope this helps.

Try the G5 sharpener. There are others that use the same type of material but not as good. Follow the instructions (keep straight and apply light pressure) and you'll like it. This is a broadhead sharpener that does knives as well. A great part about it is that the carbide pieces can be used so many times but turning the carbide pieces and I suspect swaping sides. This type of sharpener gets a blade in working order fast. Great for the field, cheaper than other systems in the long run and can be carried easily into the field.
I also own a Gatco and Lansky system and highly recommend them.
