Bear sign from my first hunt in Georgia

Post by Deanmac »

I saw alot of tracks and where they had been digging in the ground.

A tree a boar used to mark his territory, about 8 feet high, there was some more tree with claw marks.

That would really add a little excitement to this old Missouri boys hunt if I came across something like that in the big woods!!!!

Where are you bear hunting at in Georgia? I took one several years back east of Ellijay on national forest land. I find tore up trees like yours all the time, but rarely do I see good tracks like that.
Why ride when you can walk!

I was just South of the NC line and West of Clayton on National forest Land. I must have walked 20 miles in three days, but didn't see another hunter.
