Do the 2216 Aluminums weight the same as the Beman Thunderbolts?

TYE 2216's are lighter and weigh about the same as a Lazer II shaft, Bemans should weigh about the same as a 2219 :!:

Gary, approximately how many grains would that be with vanes and a 100-grain head?

I shoot the easton power bolts which is supposed to be the same as the beman and a while back I weighed them and the 2216 arrows and the the power bolt was just a few grains lighter something like 5 grains or so if I remember correctly the 2216 arrow by itself weighed about 335 grains so with a 100 grain broadhead on it that puts it at about 435 or so M&M

Digger weighted some Bemans a while back and they weighed 430gr's give or take a couple grains. I think 2216's weigh around 425gr's.

I'm gonna pick up some new bolts for this weekend, not sure whether to stick with the Beman's and borrow a few bucks from my dad to get them, or get Aluminums.

Tryin' to decide.

Bemans weigh around 424-425 with 100.gr BH, 2216"s more in 375-385 with a 100 gr BH. Do stand to be corrected on this and will have to weigh a few bolts today. Main reason for using 2216 is they are close in weight to a completed Lazer II. 2213's if you want the FPS as the can be set up for 350-360gr with BH's and vanes.

So 2213 all though thin can match a LazerII, 2216 stronger but a little more weight, and 2219 = beman, carbon express and weight heavy 424-430gr.

That chart shows the 2216's weighing 425gr.

Gary, I guess you stood to be corrected, I knew that, but I didn't want you to feel bad, and I didn't have to, since Tye so eagerly volunteered

I've been using the Beman Thunderbolts for a while now and I really like them alot. They shoot great out of my Phoenix. I'm just not sure if I want to get more, or go back to aluminum. I just hate bending aluminums.

Gary, in all fairness to you, yours probably weigh less because you use 4" feathers instead of 5" vanes.

I just weighed some 2216 and got these results:

20" bolt, 5" vanes, 100gr tip = 424gr.

20" bolt, 4" feathesr, 100gr = 398 gr.

18" bolt, 4" vanes, 100 gr. = 390 gr.

I suppose one has to compare apples to apples.

ComfyBear looks like we gonna have to dig out the scale and see what we got here now. Been awhile and need to do some checking.... thanks for setting me straight, some one has ta do it    I was shooting 2216's with 4" feathers and 100 Grain BH's, alum inserts .... gonna have to see now just what they weigh and it seems as you stated around the 390gr, was thinking more like 380 - 385 however when one sits on his brain toooo long it wants to go asleep
