O/T any idea of what it may be worth?

Post by rigbymi »

Older Model 1100 Remington Shotgun
Left hand
28" shotgun barrel
Rifled slug barrel
2 3/4" shells only
Very good condition
Only used a few times by the seller
He asked me what I thought it is worth
Good friend and hunting buddy
Any Ideas on what it may be worth?

It's hard to tell, when it comes to used items, the value is dependent on the buyer. If you like it and are buying it to use for yourself, than whatever you feel it's worth to you is a good price.

On the other hand, if you're looking to flip it, than you'd have to see what others are willing to pay for it.

Riggs,I have a friend who is in the gun buying and selling business(legally,of course),so if you want a firm value,I can get him to give you an appraisal.
PM me,if you want his evaluation.
Do you know what year it was bought?
I have one too that I converted to a slug barrel with a cantilever mount, and it must be at least 35 years old.

Stop off at the library and tell the libraryian what you want. They should have books on gun values there.

Duffy's gun shop is not far from you. Corner of Falls Rd & Black Rock Rd. I have had some good dealings with them. They may be able to give you a good estimate.

If you want to get an idea of what similar guns have been selling for, check out this site.

straight from the blue book of gun values model 1100 deer gun graded 100%-$435/98%-$345/95%-$270/90%-$225/80%-$200/70%-$185/60%-$165..... add $80 for left handed and add $117 for 21 in fully rifled cantilever barrel hope this gives you a good idea although alot comes into play there were many 1100 models depends on what you have
