S.W. PA Crossbow Shoot

Post by oldhunter440 »

On February 11, 2007 North Side Sportsmen's Association will host an indoor 3-D shoot for crossbows only. Shooting distances will be from 10 to 33 yards max. We will have 15 targets set up and you can shoot 15 for $5.00 or 30 for $8.00. Visit our web site at www.nssa.ws for directions. Hope to see you there!

Im not from the area, but im looking on your website, and im wondering...

where can I buy an aligator 3d target(#15)?
what are you going to do with the aligator at the end of the night?

I think it would be worth the cost to have one set up in my backyard in Ontario, and have my neighbours wondering why im practicing on an aligator. :D

PS: I hope the night turns out good for your shooting club, I wish they had more things like that in my area.

Xeon, The gator targets are available from McKenzie www.mckenzie3d.com Natralook model TXA140. They are big at 9 feet in length but are fun to shoot!

Sierra, any type of bolt will work; carbon or aluminum with field tips. Helps to have some lube on the arrow to make it easier to pull from the target. I use a bar of soap cut in half and rub the first few inches of the bolt and tip. One of those arrow gripper/pullers is nice to have also you can pick one up at any archery shop for a few bucks. Hope to see you there!

Exocet, This shoot is listed on HuntingPA also. Too bad you can not make it. If we have a big enough turn out we will make this a yearly event.
