I take my string off after hunting season is over. I put it back on from time to time during the summer to shoot a few rounds but unstring it when Im done shooting each time because I dont know when Im going to be shooting again. I know some people have had theyre bow strung since the day theyve owned it and never had any loss in power but I would think it would be a good idea to give the limbs a break if your not going to shoot it for a few months.
My Vixen is probably a little faster and easier to string and unstring than some others because I dont use the dissapator pads.

I take it you're single. At least that's my excuse for constant crossbow contact. Although I've taken to shaving one leg. Then it sort of feels like I'm sleeping with someone.

My wife and I have been together since 1978. She understands my obsession. I have a shooting range set up in my attached garage that gives me 22 yards corner to corner. It keeps me out of trouble and she knows where I am. :D[/quote]

Ah, but I can see from my office, through the family room and into the spam and that's where I get to shoot.

:D

Course with another income, I might invest in a garage (23 yards :D ). I guess I'm going to have to start shopping for a Mrs.

Bob. I hope you roll your truck windows down for the pass-through.

Ha Ha, that is a good one. Shave one leg, I can not believe I did not think of that a long time ago, would have saved three homes and three divorces, LOL
