Every time you post something on this forum, your ip address is recorded, and with that in the right or wrong hands, it will tell you everything you would ever want to know about someone. Including ISP, name, billing address, and much more.

When you use your internet your always visible.

The explanation you deserve.

Im new to this forum, I'm a beginer in hunting infact i just past the hunter's course and they instructed us that you should attach the tag as soon as the animal (game) has been killed. but they also tell you to wait 30mins. to make sure it's dead. In my opinion why not take pictures during the wait; I would of done the same. I haven't seen the pictures that you posted, but I would of been more excited having harvested a monster buck that my camera would be out way before the tag :D .

My 0.02 cents

Sorry to hear this Tigerpaw, that one hunter would do this to another hunter. But remember what goes around comes around they will get it in the end. GLAD too hear that this matter worked out in your favor. :D Charlie Booze.

For the enlightenment of us hunters from Oklahoma, does the law up there specify where the tag has to be applied? I have a lifetime license and our regs say it has to be attached to the deer, with no specific mention of the antlers or where. If taking pictures we usually tag ours around one of the back legs so they won't show in the pictures.

Golfcat. The seal has to be placed at the base of the antler.

NOW I HAVE A QUESTION. LAST WEEK I SHOT A BUCK AND IT WASNT RECOVERED UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING. WHEN WE FINIALLY FOUND THE DEER THE COYOTES AND HOGS HAD EATEN ALL BUT THE HEAD AND ANTLERS. WE BROUGHT OUT THE HEAD AND I HAD TO TAG THE DEER AS MY ONLY BUCK LEGAL FOR THAT HUNT   (THE BAG LIMIT WAS ONE BUCK AND ONE DOE FOR THE WEEKEND). IS THAT THE WAY IT GOES UP IN CANADA TOO? ONE OF TIGERPAW'S BUCKS IF I REMEMBER HAD THE SAME FATE AS MINE.

In Ontario, you can also put the tag through a slit in the ear. It doesn't have to go around the antler.

Let me get this straight. This somehow appeared here in the public forum but was meant to be a private message. If that is the case why would you just type ... and bring the whole topic up to the top again?

Just curious......something just seems fishy here. :?

I think TigerPaw meant to make it an "open forum" post so that, while explaining to Jay, ALL members are made aware of the situation, .
