Let me guess ... something about a secret reserved for the privileged and no one's talking?

That's probably not right at all ... but is it something like that :?:

I love to guess.

Are you an actual speaker of the language, ComfyBear?

I know some Latin words, and took some Spanish ... don't remember much of anything except how to say, "Hello. Do you have Coca-Cola?" and "Where is the bathroom, please?"

Oh, well ... at least I'm covered if I'm south of the border and I get dry ... and if I have too many cokes!

Posso vedere come una persona potrebbe essere interessata nel conoscere una poca storia circa un'azienda che potrebbero studiare la possibilità di fare il commercio con, nel confronto all'altra azienda in quell'industria. Mike41:

Grizz, you're good.
You got the gist of what was written.

Personally, after having left the "homeland" almost 2 score and twelve, I'm only a speaker, but not a writer. So I had to use an online translator.

The context of Matthias' question was good for 3/4 of a guess, Comfybear!

I love linguistics, and especially regional dialects. Ain't much for math, though. As long as I can calculate arrow speed, I'm satisfied!

So you're Italian?

I'm a mongrel ... Scots / Irish ... and I think there was the blood of an Englishman somewhere in the mix on my mama's side. Shh! Don't tell A.W. ... he already got on me about the Irish thing.

Now Mike41's at it. Ya'll are worse than the Navajo code talkers.

Here's a phonetically spelled sample of some genuine coastal Carolina brogue:

"T' hoigh toide tanna 's maney on ta sine soide."

Yes, some of the old folks still talk this way. Any guesses? (If you're from coastal NC, don't give it away!)

Nice translations!
Italian and english have in common 80% of Latin words, so some time is nice to notice how similar they are.

Coming back to the question...secret? Normally every factory shows their production quantity; is that for cars, for wine, for guns etc... why not for excalibur crossbow??? I don't think that my question is strange, not?

Matthias, from what I heard at a few "places', the number of sales of bows only was between 35 and 40,000 a year. Hope that helps.

"T' hoigh toide tanna 's maney on ta sine soide
If I had to hazzard to guess, with them thar "hoide" and "sine", I'd say that be some "bastardized" Irish brogue, me boy.

Maybe some one can enlighten me on the meaning of:

Sine your pitty on the runny kine!

Hey, Pdislow ...

No fair, man! You're from coastal NC! :D

An exact translation, no less. You must know some "hoigh toiders" yourself! Not a whole lot of them left on this side of the sound. There are a number of "hoigh toider" folks around here who are direct descendants of the original Elizabethan English settlers of this area ... most of them crabbers and fishermen.

Seems like I've heard some Harker's Islanders who also sound a lot like that.

I was down your way last week ... passed by your fair city on Monday and again on Wednesday, via 17N ... always good to see the North Carolina floating there proudly.

Are you a Wilmington native?

Bows produced

Post by Daniele »

Doemaster, that sounded pretty high, over 100 bows a day everyday of the year, i remember your open house and the space you have, mind you Bill & Cath would love those numbers.
Best wishes for those production numbers to be met and sales to follow,
if one Canadian Company deserves it, EXCALIBUR is it, we are proud of our Local Canadian Technology and " Best In The Field Customer Service.
Daniele.
Good hunting, be safe.
