Got My Turkey This Afternoon

Post by dschnarr »

Got a nice tom this afternoon at 1:00 . I was out for maybe one hour when I was going to move to the other side of the bush when I noticed a hen behind me in the field so I did some purrs. Then I heard noise by my decoys. The ton was mad at my jake decoy so I let him have it . He was 21.5lbs and a 9.5 inch beard and 7/8 inch spurs. I did next to no calling just some purrs. Need help to post a pic I can email it to one of you guy to post for me.. :D :D :D

Speakin' of the hen sneakin' up on ya while doing your thing..

...I walked right up about 10 feet from a jake once. But there was no way my arrow was going through the little bush and through him. So I just watched him.
