Turkey to the Max

Post by Big John »

Well finally got a turkey today! :)
After repeated attempts with my shotgun, I decided to switch it up and use the Exomax. Good move I believe. 8) Went out to my place in 89B this morning at 3:30 am. Called, and got responses, from a couple of Gobbler's, but no go even after looking for them. So, went to a property in 88 and set up at lunch, with the Exomax. Called twice, softly, and waited in the sun, patientely. :) After about an hour I see a couple of Hens moving, about sixty yds. out, by the bush edge. I called once more softly and raised the bow and waited. Sure enough more came to see my decoy's, (two Hen's), and two good sized Jake's came up to see as well. 8) Now I have about four Hen's and Two Jake's in front of me at twenty yds. Didn't see any Big Tom's coming so I decided to take the biggest Jake. Let loose with one of my 420 gr. Gold Tip, Quick spins, WASP Hammer SST 100's and watched him do a flip, land, and walk about 12 ft. and fall over. 8)

About 18 lbs. , 7 in. Beard, 1/2" spurs
