Buck swimming in Cheasapeke Bay (PICS ADDED)

Downloaded the pics from a fishing forum I use. The story is this buck was found swimming 1.5 miles out the the Cheasapeke Bay and was rescued/released by these fisherman.

Deer are excellent swimmers. I don't want to be too critical because I don't know the whole story, but they probably would have been better off just leaving him alone.

I don't think his rack is gonna quite make the minimum requirements. I'm thinking....catch and release(LOL). Great pics!!!

1 1/2 miles from shore.... I do not know if that deer would of made it or not... That deer could of easily turned the wrong way and died out in the bay.... I think they probably did the right thing...

He is obviously VERY pooched to be so still in the boat!! I'd say you saved him! :shock: :D

I hunted Andelot Farm for many yrs. I've seen deer swim offshore to avoid us. Did they drown ???????? but they were swimming to nowhere. Again Nice job Dave

That boat looks to be under 20 ft long. Bet that was fun getting that deer tied up in there! I would have loved to have that on video.
