Is Excalibur going to have sound dampening accessory?

Post by TNhunterKMC »

It has been talked about here quite a bit over the last year, and some crossbows are beginning to have sound stopping accessories added to them. Several different homemade versions have been made. Is Excalibur going to eventually have a sound dampening device similar to the Horton SoundStopper that is on their new Legacy recurve crossbow? Or are there patent and royalty issues involved that would keep them from having one? If they came out with one - I would snag one up immediately.

Some members have made their own using Sims Dampers. Sumner, Matthias and Greywolf come to mind. Easy and inexpensive to make and dampen string noise and vibration, similar to the Horton one. Greywolf posted pictures of his about a month ago.
