Tastes great/Less filling! It's a debate. They both have there pros and cons. A con for carbon is if it splits and splinters inside your game where you will not have to worry about that with aluminum. A con for aluminum is they are easily bent. I'm sure others will have more info for you than this. I personally shoot carbon and added Greywolfs bolts to my use this year.

Seriously . . .use a straight one. Nothing else matters. I use carbons because I don't like to buy new bolts and I shoot a lot. However, if you are careful pulling the aluminums out of the target, you get the same results. I am still shooting the two carbon bolts that killed the two deer I harvested last season . . .never been able to do that with aluminum.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

Started with aluminum, switched to carbon, then went back to aluminum.

Aluminum have more kinetic energy. Carbon are faster, flatter trajectory. It all depends on what you are hunting. I prefer aluminum.

Aluminium for me 2219 XX75 Gamegetters & in the process of making some long distance 2219 XX78 Super Slam hunting arrows with the help & advise from Matthais. Take a look on the Venatores website at the arrow tests Matthais & the Venatores Shooters have been doing, makes for some very interesting reading if you hunt from long distance 60-100Yards.

I have used both carbon and aluminum with very good results . 2117 , 2216 , and beman thunderbolts and shoot to the same point of impact . The carbon has an edge in durability .
