Dissipator Problem

Post by JackJack »

I have a new Vortex and have not shot it yet. I put the dissipator pads on this evening and one of the screw holes in the pads does not thread with any of the screws. In fact, all four screws just slip right down the threaded hole?? I emailed the "marketing dude"...I'll see what he says about replacing it.

Will Excalibur send me a new pad and screws? How does that work?

Thanks guys!

If I'm understanding it right, it sounds like three of the holes & screws do fit properly (are the same size & thread)? If so, I'd guess you got a pad that is messed up. Is there threads in the hole that doesn't fit?

Yes...it has threads, but they all still just slip right down in without screwing it in.

All 4 hole & screws should, of course, be the same size. Sounds like one of the holes is oversize. Never heard of it happening before, but I'm sure Excalibur will take care of the problem quickly.
I'd give them a phone call if I was in a hurry. If not the email will probably take care of it.

Hey Jack Jack,

I'm sure that customer service will ship a replacement kit to replace the disapator in question. When you view the assembly video they mention that the threads are delicate on the disapators so don't reef them down, not saying you did. It appears that the hole in the disapator in question simply did not get threaded or drilled to big?? who knows. The important thing is that they will take care of the issue for you. You will enjoy the performance for the bow, they are simply amazing.

Thanks guys...I spoke to one of Dan's employees. They're putting new pads in the mail!

I'm shipping the defected pad to Dan Miller so they can take a look at it.

I appreciate your help!
