The lever?? that holds the bolt in place seems to be bent down further then other Excals that I have looked at. It sits tight against the deck, and you need to lift it a bit to get the bolt under.
Any thoughts on this??? Big deal?? Easy to fix?? Don't worry about it??
Thanks.
Another question....mechanical

I have four Excals and none touch the flight deck, some are slightly further down than others. Personally I would not worry about, I can turn my bow so it is pointing down vertically and the bolts don't slide down the track. If you can do the same I would think you are fine.

You want it high enough to where it does not slap the railing upon release of the bolt. You should not have to lift it to load the bolt. I adjusted mine by hand . . .just take the scope off(if you have one). Keep it tight enough to hold the bolt in place.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

Dumbazz
I misread your post I thought you meant it was not far enough down
Yes I would just bend it up off the track. You should be able to bent it up after the second screw hole (the one nearest to the limbs) this is where it starts to angle down. Don't worry if you do damage it as you can get spare ones and they are easy to fit.
Forgot to add if you take off your scope mount you will see it better.
