Congrats!

I would stick with the mid-high shoulder shot when rifle hunting.

I am glad you stuck it out with bow hunting it adds so much to your deer hunting season. Both in time allowed in the field and skill in getting a deer within range, tracking, etc.

I have observed more deer behavior and learned as much about deer hunting in general over the last 3 years of crossbow hunting, than I did in 15 years of gun hunting.

I spend more time sitting and less time walking. That tends to make one more observant so I sure agree with you Ninepointer. I'm also in the bush alot more which also helps improve your instincts.
