Lighted Nocks

Post by Bow Life »

Anyone know where i can get a lighted nock that will work in a laser II bolt?
As far as i understand only the tracers work in the graphite bolts, and when i look on their website it says there out of stock until Jan 08.
Id like something to use this season as i was called by a friend tonight to help him find a deer he had shot and man his arrow was easy to find. He was using the Lumenock but i dont want to have to switch to aluminum arrows as the graphites shoot faster out of my older model exocet.

Considered them but decided they add too much weight to the back possibly affecting FOC. I use white lacquer last 7" of bolt, overspray 1st 2" with florecent splash to match color of vanes. Singificantly improves visability. Only adds 1 grain to back of bolt. Nothing to go wrong. Lighted nocks run well over $20, each. Would have to use same weight in practice bolts or shoot BH/lighted nock to get hunting zero. As it is, my painted bolts with field tips and Slick Tricked painted hunting bolts fly nearly identcally. (Slick Mags hit 1'' lower at 30 yards. I can live with that.)

Ony an 8 grain differance between an aluminum flat nock (20 grain) and the LumenoK (28 grain). I have no differance in POI between lumenok and regular bolts. However I am using homemade bolts, I did have some inconsistencies when using stock GT II's, but that was later attributed to crappy stock bolts. My set up is a GT II, brass insert, 2" inch blazer vanes. Makes bolt impact and recovery so easy to see, wouldn't hunt in low light conditions without them. I have over 50 shots on one luminok with zero failures.

Wolfsden sells them and I have put them on all my bolts! Heat the nock on your carbons pull it out carefully and stick the Lumenocks in! I love them and the bolts fly great at 20 yards! They do splinter the end of the carbons a tiny bit but nothing major! I have shot the same bolt at least 10 times. They sell them in singles and 3 packs. $14 for one and $30 for three!
