Eight Point Down with the Vortex!!

Post by hotburn »

Went out this evening for a great hunt! Had some does working the field off to my right and some had moved in front of me. None never came in close enough to get a good shot. Then behind me I heard a bunch of leaves crunching and by the time I seen him he was about twenty feet behind me. Grabbed bow, turned on camera and it was all over in about thirty seconds! I have the footage, but as we all know I am no good camera man. Maybe I will get the footage ready after I work the weekend. But the Vortex did its job and the Tekan II's only let the deer go about fifty yards. Double lung and heart shoot! Some of the pics may not be good for the faint of heart!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
Looks like a very good hit you put on him.

BTW - I find the first pic very tastefully done, as for the second pic - this is a HUNTER'S forum and if you've never seen blood you might not belong here! Not a pic to post just anywhere, but I'd be proud of that hit, too! I did a similar job on my first one this year, but my camera battery died so I didn't have any like that to post.

Thanks for the comments and support guys! I was glad to share it with you guys!

Thanks also to you Wabi! I still don't understand how people dislike that stuff in a hunting forum. Not wanting to debate it, but your right, we are hunters in a hunting forum, I am pretty darn proud of that pic! I would have washed my hands for the pic, but could not find the sink while in the woods! LOL!!

Actuality.I never even noticed the blood at all,all I seen was that real nice broadhead hole in the heart>
