First Deer

Post by bbbwb »

My daughter is off for her Christmas break from college and joined me today for her first deer hunt of the season. SUCCESS!!! She shot a dandy doe right through the heart at 25 yards. She was using an Excalibur xbow (1994 vintage) with a 125 broadhead. This was her very first kill ever so we are both very excited! I have enclosed a picture of her and the doe using A.W.'s "posting picture" instructions, so I hope it is retrievable.

For the pic to work go into your Photobucket album, left click on whatever is in "IMG Code" to highlight it. Right click on the highlighted tag and select "Copy". Go back to your Message body in the Excal Forum and right click wherever you want the picture to go and select "paste". That should do it. :D

Congratulations to both of you.

Looks like you both got an early Christmas present.

Enjoy the steaks and the story re-telling. And thank for sharing it with us.

Well done guy! Or should I say well done daughter?! I wish my daughters liked to hunt as much as I did but they only went with me a time or two and didn't like daddy killing things with "faces".
