Nother Doe

Post by rutman »

Last night I got an opportunity to wack one of those wary old doe's. It took her 20 minutes to come 100 yards checkin wind lookin and listening every 2 or 3 steps.
In case your wondering, I'm trying to eliminate a bunch of my area doe's because theres so many that I rarely get to see the mature bucks that are littering the bush with tracks. (An investment in next season)
I will post pics of my hunts all at once. I have to get discs made since I don't have a digital yet. Then I have to re-learn transfers from disc to easy share/photobucket. Duh!! me.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like an older one if it took her that long to come in. Some of those old does can be just as tough to get a shot at as a buck.

Doing the same here in Maryland. THe doe population is way out of wack and it is fun going on doe hunts. Every now and then I do get a nice buck, but the most of my hunting is looking for doe's. Anyway antlers don't make good stew.
