fletching jig question

Post by opossum »

I am new to fletching crossbow bolts . I have a bitzenbutger but was looking at a arizona fletcher. It looked like it would be a whole lot faster.Would I be better off with a standard or a right helical .I am using 2216 or 2219 shafts and 5" vanes right now.I am looking at trying some blazers. Also what is the big advantage of the brass inserts and where do you get them.I am using regular inserts at both ends of the bolts right now. Thanks for any info. Happy holidays to all

I use the Arizona E-Z Fletch tool with 4° offset and 2" Blazers on 2215 aluminum shafts with good results out of my Phoenix.
The brass inserts add weight to the point end to increase FOC and add weight to carbon shafts. A heavier point will accomplish the same thing.
