Are you guys talking about the new sound suppression system that excal sells or is that something different?

Donno how long or how many shots but if they are twenty dollars and last fifty shots and I only use them for hunting I'll be happy!

With stopping the string early are you not stoping the limbs from fully flexing forward. Will this not put added stress on the limbs causing failure later (not as dramatic as hitting a tree limb on the release but 50 - 100 shots may have the same effect long term).

As this seems to be something that finger flingers are using on their compound bows my guess would be no - but thought I should ask.

Try this for an Ontario STS source. They're about $68.00 or so plus a few dollars shipping.

Instead of fumbling around with cutting steel to shorten the rods, I went to Rona and bought a piece of 3/8" aluminium rod for $5.65 and cut it to size. I found it much easier to cut and file precisely smooth than steel. And with 2 1/2 feet left over, I can give it away.

Anyone in Ottawa interested in a free piece?

I had the same question....rather go without the STS than give up my groundpounder mount!

Anyone know the deal here?

you just need two 1.5" x 5/16 - 18 button head screws and run them up through the STS blocks then through the riser holes then tighten the mount to the new screws..........bob
