Ones that they have had work done by. I think I might get this buck done. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks for all the comments also.
You can see his work at his house, he has many mounts in his workshop and he is located in Barrhaven not far from Greely:

bbbwb: I thought the same thing at first until I saw a piece of the sled burried. No offence taken.

Wow, that guy does a wonderful job with the fur. His prices are very low to what I see down here!Partikle wrote:I'm having my done by Rick Poulin from Canada Goose Taxidermy. I was going to say the same thing about pulling backwards. Then when Partikle said about the sleigh, I went back and look and I think he is right. I guess it really doesn't matter, He's out. Great looking buck. One time my friend and I were hunting. After we were going home with the buck I shot in the back. He said we should have done this, done that. Been here been there. I let him go one for a little more. I looked at him and said, tell it to the DEAD deer we did it wrong.

Great buck. I agree with bbbwb, I always drag from the head. The legs lay back easier than forward. Even then, once they stiffen up the legs can hang up on stuff, so I even tie them back sometimes.
It's tough to get out of bed at the end of the season, but seeing deer moving around in the snow is a sight I personally don't like to miss.
Congrats again!!!
