Layered targets

Post by Boo »

Some of my arrows on one of my layered targets was almost letting arrows through. I put a ratcheting load binder/tie down on and cranked the living daylights out of it and it now doesn't nearly go as deep. Just a FYI

layered targets

Post by hawg hunter »

I'm looking for a good target that will stand up to numerous BH shots at +330fps xbow speeds. I've tried the Block's and have been very dissappointed. These are suppose to be the best and I've worn 2 of them out in 2 yrs. I'm not shooting a t the same target each shot and they shoot through quickly.
I tried the Crossbow king BH target and it held up about 6mos and ait shot through at thre different spots.

The Block 4X4 is pretty good. It has 4 shooting sides and there is a skin that prevents the chips from flying out and apart. Works pretty good. I want to try the Rinehart is what I will try next. There is also a foam target repair I want to try. http://www.3riversarchery.com/Product.a ... 0&i=3260-1
I don't use broadheads on target much, only when testing new broadheads and a few times per arrow before hunting with them.

My broadhead target has pretty much had it too, but the way mine was built I am not able to apply pressure like that.. It still stops the broadheads but the layers shift on contact and make arrow removal difficult.
I want to try that Rinehart as well, looks like it will do the job quite nicely.

The Morrell six shooter is the best target I have ever had, I've been shooting the same one for 4 years now and it is still stops them well before the fletching. Bolt and arrow removal requires moderate pull.
