Unstring Your Excal When not in use?
I was just wondering how many of you guys unstring your Excals when hunting season is over. I know that it is recomended by Excalibur to let the limbs relax. Is it necessary and will you lose speed if you keep it strung all the time?

Donno but I try to remember to do what Greywolf does but I don't always remember for half a year or more. I don't chrono my but my bows still kill deer!Rocketman wrote:. Is it necessary and will you lose speed if you keep it strung all the time?

if mines gonna sit for more than 2-3 weeks ill unstring it...
why? It only takes a whole 1-3mins... and I like spending time working on the bow and making sure everything stays in top notch shape:)
but yes it helps take stress off the limbs and im sure over time you will see some longer life from certain parts. Its always a great idea to do it espically in the heat!

I had my Exocet strung from before the beginning of the 2006 deer season until New Years this year. The point of impact changed very little, 2 clicks on the scope.
You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.
