Sally

Post by Isis »

Rick, I am so sorry to hear about Sally. I only just read the post.

She sure was a great little hunter, with lots of stamina. It always amazes me how those little springers manage to keep going.
I get very emotional when dogs I have had the privilege of hunting with pass on.
Your tribute to Sally had tears running down my face. I will miss seeing her busily working away.

HERE'S TO SALLY, A GREAT LITTLE DOG.

My deepest condolences RJ I know how much you loved Sally and how much she loved to please you. You gave her the life of a Princess.

Thanks again all ... My memories of Sally and other hunting dogs I've had , as well as my buddies dogs that have passed over the years , live on at hunt camp and other gatherings we attend .

As stories turn to " Do you remeber when this dog did this , or that dog did that " ... we honor them by never forgeting their efforts and adventures in the field .

Yep many of us share a common bond .... Having the privledge of spending time in the field with our devoted canine companions ... then before you know it .... they are gone
See Ya. ... R.J. > " Remember , Trophies are measured by the time and energy expended to get them , not the size or quantity of the quarry "

Are you going to get another dog RJ or is it too soon?

If so, what breed?

Just curious being a dog owner/breeder. We've had Weimaraners for over 10 years now but we still think about other breeds from time to time.
