I am a 7th and 8th grade science teacher in a small country school. For those of you that live in northern Ohio it is South Central schools. There are many kids that hunt, trap, and fish. Those that do not, I work hard on to lure away from the dark side (PETA) by discussing the practical application of animal population control. No one likes mice in their house, ground hogs digging under their barn, or coon eating thier sweet corn. It helps that I bring in deer jerky for the 7th grade and sloppy doe for the 8th grade. I like to think I have an influence.
I'm in my first year out of high school, and am doing a Farm Equipment Technician apprenticship, (fancy words for farm mechanic). In the meantime I am also the tire guy at work, going out on service calls fixing tires in the field... then come October, i'm a HUNTER!
