Another snow day!
Seems like my kids have stayed home this winter as often as they have made it to the bus. It's not exactly a crucial year for either of them, but I have never seen anything like this.
A bunch more snow fell last night, heavy stuff too. So while the kids are trashing the house I think I will take my crossbow and snowshoes out back and try to call in some coyotes, snow day for me too.

Can't you mount a plow on that Mustang?enormous wrote:I got to shovel twice.
I am fortunate, my next door neighbor comes by in a huge John Deere, swipes my drive in 2 passes with a 12' blade. He is an awesome neighbor! That job would take me a couple hours, he does it in about 30 seconds, he just likes when my kids wave at him through the window.

I have a tractor with a loader and a 6' blower to handle this crap; the biggest problem I have is all the neighbors with the 'puppy dog eyes' .
Nice to help out but this is becoming a full time job. Last night I un-stuck a 5 ton truck and a school bus on our dead-end road.
The snow banks are so big that our road is down to one lane; the plow can no longer use his blade and wing because they are to wide. I don't know what things will be like after this snow.
I purchased a brand new tractor in December; so far I have 52 hours on it - all snow removal. And I am not a contractor! I think I should have bought a bigger machine

My neighbor is retired, he enjoys doing this for us, in his prime I am sure it would have been a different story. This is the only time he uses this tractor, sits in there listening to Portuguese music in surround sound and a tee shirt.
I'll tell ya, the world would be a different place if everyone had a neighbor like him and his wife.

I spend most of my day driving, when I do eventually stop my truck it is to climb a ladder on to a roof.. Today is not a ladder day. Ladders plus roofs on this kind of day will likely result in a case of deceleration poisoning.

We have a lot more snow again last night. My neighbour usually comes over and blows the driveways out for me if I haven't got to it. Darned nice to see them come. There will be a time in the spring when comes a day of reconing. They want to do it for nothing and we think it is worth quite a bit. It is great to have good neighbours.Mud season and turkey season is just around the corner
Excalibur Exomax and Arctic Cat 400 auto. Life don't get much better than that.
My husband had to drive to work in Guelph this morning, but the farthest my son and I went was the backyard.
