The barn. Built by menonites. On a property I have permission to hunt.

The texture of the bark on this tree and the holes I found interesting.

This pic was actually taken last March. Can't remember if I ever posted it. Either way it is one of my favourites. I have it on the wall.

More recent. My contribution to Ecoasters first outing, before my camera died.

I guess we have a thing for peeing deer.

A little better.

Nice rub next to a fire hydrant. One of many rubs along the street.

Went back to get some more pics yesterday. A popular crossing.

The red tailed hawk I found. Appears to have starved to death. The right eye may have been injured at one point. It was opaque and had very small white feathers growing out of it. The urates on the tree suggest he sat there for a while before dieing.

Impressive looking talons. They are sharp!!

This cottontail was less than fifty yards from where I found the hawk. And of course because I wasn't carrying a shotgun or my .22 this guy was quite content to move a couple feet at a time as I got closer and closer. Never running off.

Same rabbit. This was taken on the way back through. Still hadn't run off.

Did manage to see some deer, although distant.

Last one. I will be back to try my luck again.
