I have a 10 Point Curve and I absoltuley love it!! It's super accurate , a real joy to shoot. I also can change the front-end over in minutes to a ProFusion compound. This feature is great. The new Power Touch trigger is fantastic.

The open unprotected trigger guard makes me nervous about safety.

I don't see the open trigger guard as any issue. It is no more of a safety issue then an enclosed trigger . The key is the sfatey and it is a very positive saftey that cannot easily be accidently put in the fire position.

I think the open trigger guard provides quick access to the trigger, especially with gloves on!

If I was going to get another recurve, I'd get the best there is, and in my books E comes before T.

Ten Point Flex

Hi Don, that`s the 1 with 3 draw weights i believe, I did look at this one myself with a price tag of around $399 it would fit within my given budget. I don`t have any knowledge on Tenpoints service, but undertand they are quality xbows. Did you get to try one out? How does it compare to an Excalibur Pheonix as this would be the closest equal, i guess. Also, i`m asuming the 3 settings relate to draw lenght, correct me if i`m wrong? if so wouldn`t "sighting in" with this xbow on a given draw weight say it`s full 180 lbs for hunting, then changing the draw weight to, say 90lbs, change the sights POI? I like the concept though, as a xbow as this is would give power for large as well as small game like Hare and Wild Rabbit, lowering the risk off pass through on small game. Might even open the eyes of  the local fishing community sat quitely waiting on that record carp to bite, then you turn up with xbow set for fishing

There are a few issues. Once you change the length you have to make scope adjustments. It is not made to switch back and forth.
Is a spindly, light bow which will not be conducive to accuracy in hunting. I like a noticeable amount of weight forward.
Althought it has a safety the trigger guard is open at the rear.
It has a dry-fire safety which of course could someday malfunction.
Last but not least it is ugly. Which is ok because the Flex will be for the cottage for others to shoot at low poundage.

I'l take the Phoenix over the Flex any day!

They have to be the lightest weight 300 fps crossbow on the market.

The Varizone scope would be ideal for it as you bump the weight back and forth by adjusting the draw length.

TenPoint does have a bowfishing rig for it and it's other bows. I think with a little tinkering the bowfishing rig could also fit an Excalibur.

What gets me is that no crossbow but Barnett (RC-150) has an adjustable lenghth of pull. I'm probably going to end up getting itfor my son. His arms are too short to reach the trigger if he properly shoulders my Phoenix. Everyone tells me to get the Flex for him, but the draw weight isn't the problem (I'll be right there with him when he shoots and I can cock it for him) the length of the stock is the problem - and the Flex is a fixed length on the stock, too.
The RC-150 stock has an adjustable butt pad that can even be fully removed to shorten the stock by several inches. He shouldered one at the local pro-shop one with the pad removed and it fit him perfectly. The owned told me if I wanted to order him one, he would sell it to me at cost to get my son started, so I'll probably order one when I get the tax rebate check so I can be patriotic and stimulate the economy.

I think there is a bow made by Parker that has an adjustble LOP stock. If I'm not mistaken it is their Cyclone model.
