True enough. I've been down once ... riding a girlfriend two-up on a cruiser ... having her on changed the handling dynamics enough that when I entered a curve just down the road from the house the bike developed a fork wobble that I couldn't correct, so I let it go down on the side of the road (better grass and mud in the ditch than pine trees straight on). I told her we were going to take a slide, and to let go when it went down and relax as much as possible. She did, and was launched over me into the grass. Not so much as a scratch. As we weren't going very fast, about 20 mph, I elected to stay on, since I was wearing jacket, boots and glove. I fared well too. Scraped a hole in my jeans and my knee, but it wasn't bad. The bike had a bent mirror, a ground-up peg and clutch bar. There are only two types of Motorcycle riders Those who have crashed and those who are going to crash![]()
